Hotel Reservations
Penn travelers are expected to seek lodging that is safe, comfortable and reasonably priced. Lodging costs should be kept to a minimum and standard rooms should be used, whenever possible. Listed below are recommendations when making hotel reservations.
Club Quarters
Club Quarters are private hotels for the exclusive use of employees and guests of its member organizations in prime downtown locations. Penn is a member of Club Quarters because of their location in Philadelphia. From Boston to New York to London, CQ offers business-oriented, user friendly, club-like facilities. Their rooms are small but their rates (based upon single occupancy) are excellent.
Starwood Hotels
Penn has a 20% savings opportunity with Starwood Hotels. Enroll in the Starwood Preferred Guest program and experience a 20% savings off of the Best Available Rate. From Sheratons to Westins to W properties to their new Aloft hotel, faculty and staff traveling on business or leisure travel can take advantage Penn’s special pricing.
Preferred Agencies
American Express Travel and Marathon Travel offers discounts at over 3,200 hotels worldwide. All hotel discounts are loaded into their computer system and are available to Penn travelers.
Conference Hotels
If attending a conference, you may want to take advantage of the negotiated conference rates when making your hotel selection.
Visiting other Colleges and Universities
When visiting other colleges and universities, ask your host to recommend hotels at which they have negotiated special pricing for their guests.
